Gianni Molaro was born in San Giuseppe Vesuviano, in the province of Naples, on March 21, 1966.
At the age of five he lost his father and thus arrived in the college of the nuns of Pompeii.
He paints as a self-taught and works to pursue his studies at the Academy of Fashion in Naples.
He opens his first atelier in 1990.
In 1993 the whole world talks about him because he sends a bride with a 326.70 meter veil to the altar. She repeats this experience with a wedding dress twelve meters in diameter and finally reaches another record with the most precious dress in the world, studded with seven thousand diamonds.
In 1999 he made his debut on the catwalks of high fashion in Rome with a collection inspired by the traditions of Campania, his fashion show will be a procession of fujenti of the Madonna dell'Arco, to which his father Luigi was devoted.
In recent years he has always experimented with new shapes and volumes, creating sculptural dresses often exhibited in exhibitions and museums.
In 2004 he presented at Palazzo Venezia, in Rome, a collection of twelve completely hand-painted sculpture dresses with a performance that breaks all the traditional canons of the fashion show.
He is defined by the press as the prophet of Art Couture. Maestro Roberto Capucci congratulates him.
Molaro is not only fashion but also painting, sculpture and architecture.
In 2012 he opened his atelier in Piazza di Spagna. For the occasion, it covers the entire staircase of Trinità dei Monti with three thousand meters of white tulle.
Since 2014 he has collaborated on the Rai 2 television program “Detto Fatto”.
In 2021 he created his first pret a porter collection with his name.
